1. RVVP
RVVP cable can be thought of as "flexible wire wrapped in three layers." The innermost layer is a flexible copper conductor, surrounded by a layer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation, like "thermal underwear" for the wire. A copper wire shielding mesh is then added to the outermost layer, acting like a "protective cover" to block external signal interference. Finally, a PVC sheath protects the entire cable. It is particularly suitable for use in applications such as surveillance cameras and audio equipment where signal quality is critical, ensuring clearer image and sound transmission.
2. RVV
RVV cable, also known as "flexible sheathed cable," is simply "flexible cable wrapped in two layers of plastic." Its copper core is insulated with PVC and then sheathed with a PVC outer layer. There is no shielding layer. RVV cable has a rated voltage of 300/300V and typically has 2-24 conductors, capable of transmitting multiple signals or power simultaneously. It is ideal for applications such as doorbells and low-power appliance cables, being both flexible and durable.
3. Flame-retardant Upgraded Versions: ZR-RVVP and ZR-RVV
If "ZR" is added to the front of the model number, it indicates a flame-retardant version!
• ZR-RVVP is based on the original anti-interference RVVP cable, but now features flame-retardancy. It is classified as Class A flame-retardant and will not easily catch fire even when exposed to open flames, significantly improving safety.
• ZR-RVV is also a Class A flame-retardant flexible cable, safer than standard RVV and suitable for locations with fire protection requirements, such as shopping malls and office buildings.
In addition to the above, the wire and cable industry also offers a number of "specialized" cables:
• Mineral insulated cables: High-temperature resistant and highly fire-resistant, ensuring uninterrupted power supply in critical moments.
• Industry-specific cables: Cables like flat cables for cranes, drag chain cables for port equipment, and cables specifically for shield machines are custom-made for specialized environments and high-intensity operations.
• Communication cables: Computer communication cables such as Profinet and Profibus-DP are specifically designed for signal transmission between industrial equipment, requiring extremely high stability.
