The difference between solar cables and ordinary cables

1. Design and construction
Solar cables have features suitable for outdoor solar installations. They feature cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, which provides excellent resistance to solar radiation, extreme temperatures and harsh weather conditions. This insulation material ensures the durability and longevity of solar cables, even in harsh environmental conditions.

In comparison, regular cables are often insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is less resistant to sunlight and extreme weather conditions, making them more suitable for general indoor use.
