How To Deal With Common Faults Of Electrostatic Induction Cable

A very sensitive sensor part of an electrostatic induction perimeter detector.

In order to ensure the correct use of the system and give full play to its functions, engineering installers are required to read the product instructions carefully before construction, carefully check the detection cable, ground wire, power cord and whether it is installed correctly according to the product instructions before determining the fault, and then start the test after 5 minutes of electrification

Not working or no switch signal output

1) Observe the detector housing and check the power indicator (green light). If the green light is not on, it means the power is not connected or powered on;

2) Check the anti-disassembly switch when the power light is on, and press the anti-disassembly switch when opening the cover to test;

3) When the alarm occurs, the red light flashes but there is no switch output (disconnect the signal connection between the detector and the host, and use the multimeter for on-off test). In this case, the motherboard plug-in and eight-core plug should be checked for shedding.

4) No load means no detection cable is connected. The detector must be connected to at least 3m detection cable, and the detection cable must be erected in the air with a distance of at least 20cm between it and the ground or wall;

5) If the yellow light on the detector flashes, remove the detection cable one by one. When the yellow light is off, it means that the cable has a short circuit with the shell or ground wire. Check the feeder head and the joint between the feeder and the detection cable, and note that the shield layer of the feeder cannot be connected with the detection cable.

The yellow light also flashes when the detection cable exceeds the detector's nominal value.

Continuous alarm

1) Detection wire grounding.

2) The ground wire is not well connected and the ground resistance is not up to the requirements.

3) Two or more detectors shall share a ground wire. Separate the ground wires of each detector and the ground piles shall be more than 2m apart.

4) Continuously alarm under direct sun or strong wind and heavy rain. It is recommended to put the detector in a water proof tank.

5) If there is barbed wire around the detection cable, it should be grounded and separated from the ground wire of the detector. It must not be shared.

The distance between the barbed wire and the electronic fence should be above 30cm.

Occasionally the alarm

1) If the sensitivity is too high, the sensitivity can be reduced by toggling a switch.

(rise successively from 1 to 4), the detector can be switched to working mode.

2) If there are branches or movable objects within the detection range, the movable objects within 1 meter of the detection cable should be cleared.

Sensitive over low

1) The detection cable is too close to the wall or the iron fence;

2) The use of ultra-long (ultra-thick) or ultra-wide detection cable will cause too low sensitivity or even unstable operation. Please use the recommended detection line.

Debug:

1. After the installation and connection of all equipment, it can be powered on for debugging.

2. Debugging shall be carried out according to the operation interface on the detector panel. The specific situation is as follows:

3. Power light: When the detector is connected to 220V power, the power indicator (green light) will be on;

The power light flashes when the AC current is outside the range of 187V to 242V.

4. Cable light: the cable light (yellow light) flashes when the detector's external induction cable exceeds the specified value or there is a short circuit.

5. Alarm light: When someone approaches, touches or cuts the induction cable, the detector outputs the alarm signal to the alarm host, accompanied by a beeping alarm sound. The alarm light (red light) flashes, and the detector outputs the switch signal to the center.

6. After the induction detector is powered on, there is a self-check reset process, during which the indicator lights on the panel will light up and twinkle in a cycle. After the reset, there is a beep and the detector just enters the working state.

Only then can you operate on the panel

7. Frequency selection: The detector provides four frequencies for users to choose. Press the right side of the frequency indicator to select any frequency.

Note: During installation and debugging of multiple defense zones, adjacent defense zones cannot choose the same frequency, so the interference of the same frequency should be avoided.

8. Sensitivity: The detector provides four kinds of sensitivity for the user to choose. Press the sensitivity indicator to the right and select the appropriate sensitivity.

When the detector is running normally, the sensitivity should not be too high, so as not to cause unnecessary alarm when the staff is working.

9. Mode: The detector is divided into two operation modes: working mode and test mode. The test mode can detect all human body signals and interference signals instantly and react quickly.

The working mode is increased by 1 second or so, the response is a little slower, but it can greatly reduce the misoperation caused by accidental factors (such as shaking, raindrops, etc.).

Generally, the test mode is adopted during debugging. After normal operation, the working mode is selected, and the required mode can be selected according to the one on the right.

10. Save: Any operation is carried out on the panel. If it is necessary to keep this setting after power off and starting up, press the save button to save it.

Alarm test and anti-damage test

1. Proximity alarm: When the test mode and sensitivity are at a high level, the detection cable plane center 10cm from the front with both hands will give an alarm.

2. Touch alarm: When the hand touches any detection cable, the system will immediately alarm.

3. Disconnect alarm: The system will immediately alarm when pliers cut off any detection cable or feeder.

4. Disassembly alarm: When the detector is turned on, the system will immediately alarm.
