Precautions to ensure safe operation of cable lines
To ensure safe and reliable operation of cable lines, in addition to a comprehensive understanding of laying mode, structural arrangement, routing direction and cable joint location, the following matters should also be noted:
(1) Patrol inspection shall be conducted once a quarter and outdoor cable ends shall be inspected once a month. In case of heavy rain, flood and other special circumstances and failure, the number of inspections should be increased as appropriate. (2) The main contents of patrol inspection include: (1) whether there is mechanical damage; (2) there is no corrosion and flooding; (3) There is no damage and discharge of cable head insulation sleeve.
(3) In order to prevent premature aging of cable insulation, the line voltage shall not be too high, generally not exceeding 15% of the rated voltage of the cable.
(4) Keep the electric line running under the specified allowable continuous load flow rate. As overloads are very harmful to cables, cable loads should always be measured and monitored.
(5) Regularly detect the temperature of the cable skin and monitor its heating situation. Generally, the temperature of the cable skin should be measured when the load is maximum, and the line segment with the worst heat dissipation condition should be selected for the key test
